Active duty military, retired military and veterans who live in Virginia’s 28th House District are invited to a “Meet and Greet” Town Hall Discussion at noon on April 8 at Mick’s Restaurant, Town Center at Aquia, 2866 Jefferson Davis Highway in Stafford.
“Here in Fredericksburg, one of the strongholds of the confederate army, here in Fredericksburg, one of the stalwarts of the segregation movement back in the day,” began Rev. Joshua Cole at the Unite FXBG Rally on Saturday (March 25) at Fredericksburg’s Hurkamp Park. “Today we stand on the ground of our history. Our past has become the fertilizer of where we are today. That dirt became the strength we needed to stand today for unity!”
More than a month ago, Rev. Joshua Cole announced his candidacy to challenge Speaker Bill Howell for his seat in the Virginian House of Delegates. Cole formally entered the race on Jan. 20 and declared his desire to represent all Virginians in House District 28. Howell, who 12 years ago appointed Cole as a Page for the House of Delegates, has since announced his retirement and will not be running for re-election.
