Fox 5 Zip Trip to Fredericksburg – Aug. 25, 6-11 a..m. – Hurkamp Park, 500 Prince Edward St. – Wear your Joshua Cole T-Shirts and join the live WTTG Fox 5 Zip Trip broadcast. Come enjoy the music, festivities, and fun as they highlight what the City of Fredericksburg has to offer. Joshua Cole and/or members of his campaign team will be attending. Tracey Bells Back To School Kick Off – Aug. 26, 12-6 p.m. – Colonial Forge at Augustine’s Club House, 140 Woodcutters Road, Woodcutters Rd., Stafford – Joshua Cole and campaign team members will be attending Tracey Bell’s event. Tracey is running for the Stafford Board of Supervisors. Join us and Tracey’s team for a day of fun and games. FDC’s Unity Day – Sept. 16, 12-4 p.m. – Alum Springs Park on Greenbriar Dr. in Fredericksburg – Unity Day is Fredericksburg Democratic Committee’s kickoff to the last six weeks of campaign season. It is an opportunity to celebrate together as we gear up for several weeks of canvassing, phonebanking and working hard for our progressive candidates. Candidate Debate – Sept. 21, 7-10 p.m. – University of Mary Washington’s Lee Hall, 1301 College Ave., Fredericksburg – Joshua Cole will debate his opponent and members of his campaign staff will be in attendance.

In-Person Absentee Voting Begins – Sept. 22 – You do not have to wait until Election Day, Nov. 7, to vote. You can go to the Stafford County Registrar’s Office (1300 Courthouse Rd.) or the Fredericksburg Registrar’s Office (601 Caroline St.) Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. beginning on Sept. 22. They will also be open the two Saturdays prior to the election, Oct. 28 and Nov. 4, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 4 is the final day you can vote in-person absentee. In order to vote in-person absentee, you will need to be registered to vote (at least five days), a photo ID, and a reason for not being able to vote on election day (Nov. 7) at your polling place. Courage and Social Justice – Oct. 29, 10:30 a.m. – Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Fredericksburg, 25 Chalice Circle – The UUFF has invited Joshua Cole to be the guest preacher for Sunday morning services and the topic is Courage and Social Justice. This is open to the public and everyone is invited.

Virginia General Election – Nov. 7, 6 a.m.-7 p.m. – Joshua Cole and members of his campaign team will be staffing tables at the many polling places in House District 28. Those who live in the district will be voting for Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, State Delegate for House District 28 (of curse you will vote for Joshua) and possibly Stafford County Board of Supervisors and School Board Members. In order to vote you must register by Oct. 16. If you have moved since you last voted, you also must re-register and update your address by Oct. 16. The deadline to request an absentee ballot be mailed to you is 5 p.m. on Oct. 31. You can also request an absentee ballot by appearing in person at the Stafford County Registrar’s Office by 5 p.m. on Nov. 4. For more polling locations and election information, visit here.
