Mobile Justice Tour – June 27, 5-8 p.m. – Central Rappahannock Regional Library, 1201 Caroline St., Fredericksburg – Free workshops held to train and encourage participants to work to reduce the level of societal disenfranchisement of people with a criminal record in Virginia. Fredericksburg GerryRIGGED Screening – June 29, 6:30 p.m. – Central Rappahannock Regional Library, 1201 Caroline St., Fredericksburg – Members of Joshua Cole’s campaign team will be attending this public screening of OneVirginia2021’s documentary GerryRIGGED. Stars and Stripes Voter Registration – July 1, 3-8 p.m. – Spotsylvania Courthouse, 9101 Courthouse Rd. – The Stafford County Democratic Committee has arranged for volunteers to staff a voter registration table, and the group “Protecting Our Democracy – GOTV” is providing the volunteers. Heritage Festival – July 4, Fredericksburg area – Joshua Cole and members of his campaign team will attend different Independence Day events that are all part of Fredericksburg’s Heritage Day. This includes the Heritage Day Parade at 9:30 a.m., the Festival of the Streets along Sophia Street from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Fourth of July at Ferry Farm from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the July 4th Spectacular at John Lee Pratt Memorial Park beginning at 4:30 p.m. and fireworks at 9:30 p.m. For more information, visit here.
Community and Friends Picnic – July 10, 6-8 p.m. – Loriella Park, 10910 Leavells Rd., Fredericksburg – We have all been working so hard and now it’s time to get together and have some fun because warriors need to eat. The Fredericksburg Area Pantsuiters reserved the Pavilion next to the playground and they look forward to seeing you there. SDC Precinct Ops Monthly Meeting – July 12, 7-9 p.m. – England Run Library – Discussing coordination and communications between candidates, Stafford Democratic Committee (SDC), Central Committee and Groups (Huddle, Pantsuiters, etc…) to ensure we can support our candidates. Stafford County Armed Services Memorial Dedication – July 15, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. – Gordon Government Center, 1300 Courthouse Road – Stafford County is invited its citizens to the dedication and opening of the Armed Services Memorial. The memorial is designed to honor the men and women of Stafford County that have served honorably in our nation’s armed forces. Joshua Cole and campaign team member will be attending. Resistance Expo – July 22, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Old Mill Park’s Pavilion 1, 2201 Caroline St., Fredericksburg – The We Are For America (WAFA) organization is hosting this outdoor Resistance Expo. Local resistance groups and campaigns will staff tables, including Joshua Cole’s team. Joshua will also speak at the event.
Virginia General Election – Nov. 7, 6 a.m.-7 p.m. – Joshua Cole and members of his campaign team will be staffing tables at the many polling places in House District 28. Those who live in the district will be voting for Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, State Delegate for House District 28 (of curse you will vote for Joshua) and possibly the Stafford County Board of Supervisors. In order to vote you must register by Oct. 16. If you have moved since you last voted, you also must re-register and update your address by Oct. 16. The deadline to request an absentee ballot be mailed to you is 5 p.m. on Oct. 31. You can also request an absentee ballot by appearing in person at the Stafford County Registrar’s Office by 5 p.m. on Nov. 4. For more polling locations and election information, visit here.
